Engage Update 1.93 – April 2nd 2016

By April 19, 2016June 4th, 2019No Comments
  • 1 Overview of 1.93

While most of the improvements are under-the-hood, notable enhancements in 1.93 include updates to the Google Analytics tracking dialog and also the inclusion of Web Tracking events in your contact history.

Support has been dropped for Internet Explorer 8 and 9. Please see the support browsers page for more information.  A lot of Engage functionality will still work on some unsupported browser versions (such as IE7/8/9) but new features will not be tested in this version so may not be compatible. It is highly recommended that you upgrade if possible.

  • 2 Web Tracking in Contact History

Web Tracking was the biggest product release in 2015 and  some exciting things are already being done with it!

If you are using Web Tracking, with this release, Engage will now show when contacts have matched a Web Tracking goal in the contact history screen.

This makes it easy to see how an individual contact in your database has interacted with your website. Go into database and find the contact and then click Contact History.

If you have any additional feedback on Web Tracking then let us know. We’re always happy to hear from our clients.

  • 3 Google Analytics Link Tracking Update

Google’s Universal Analytics tracking module allows you to track visitors across multiple devices and sessions.

Engage now allows you to append your own User ID (uid) parameter to tracked links, which is used by Universal Analytics for more accurate tracking.

The utm_term parameter has been added to the dialog if you want to use this with Google Analytics.
